Hello, 

On behalf of the Triangle Business Journal and pursuant to N.C. G.S. 132-1 et seq, the North Carolina Public Records Act, I respectfully request access to the following public records as defined by that statute.

Please provide me copies of the following public records in your custody received or created between September 1, 2019 and today, September 20, 2019:

Written, Email or text correspondence to, from or between UNC Chapel Hill employees supervising the  Duke-UNC Consortium for Middle East Studies (Duke-UNC CMES) including but not limited to: [information redacted] – regarding the Duke-UNC CMES program, the department of education investigation into said program, the department's letter demanding the restructure of the program, any media stories regarding the investigation or letter, 

9/24 edit by requestor for replacement keywords  Conference on Gaza, Title VI, Secretary of Education in addition to "Betsy DeVos" "anti-israel" and "anti-judaic" 

In addition, memos, meeting agendas or meeting minutes related to the aforementioned topics  during the stated time period are also requested. 

I’d prefer electronic copies via email or DropBox, but could provide a USB drive.

If for any reason, you anticipate that you cannot produce the records, please contact me by telephone or email to let me know the reason. If you believe that any of the records requested are exempt from disclosure, please cite the specific statutory (or other) basis for that belief.

If you anticipate that you will charge me for the production of the records, please cite the portion of the Public Records Act authorizing such charges and provide me an estimate of the proposed charges and the manner in which such charges were calculated.
